To get around having to use an angle drill on the channel doublers I pre-drilled the doubler plates, then drilled them into the channel on the outside. Since I was careful about drilling straight into the metal I was able to then cleco them inside the channel in their proper position.
I accidentally pre-drilled the aft floor skin ( 7F8-8 ) without realizing the best way was to pre-drill the channel ( 7F10-1 ). Since the channel sits on top of the skin, I was looking at a situation where the skin would have to ride up the radius to drill into the correct position. Instead I was able to keep everything aligned and just flipped over the skins and channel. This way I was able to use the web to verify the correct position of the skin. Using a square and my 48" level I was able to verify that everything was centered.
