Three hours were spent Saturday. About an hour was spent cleaning up the rear fuselage and trimming the longerns. The other two hours were spent on the first steps of the firewall.

Due to the drill's profile and not being able to find a smaller angle converter than the one I have, I ended up predrilling the firewall upper channel from the back, clamping it into place and then drilling it into the firewall. To help keep the firewall stable and from flexing, I placed wood underneath it to raise it up and to provide an area to cleco into.

Once the side channels were into place too the entire firewall became a very heavy duty assembly.

Before drilling I laid out all the pieces into their approximate position to make sure I understood how everything went together.
