The first part of Saturday was spent dealing with the empty crate. After unscrewing and prying the thing apart we got our driveway back.
In three hours the entire first section of the fuselage manual was completed. The rear bulkheads, (L) angle, (Z) angle, and longerons were all drilled into place.
Much of this quick progress is attributable to having seen the steps performed first on the Homebuilt Help videos.
Bending the fuselage skin forward to get to the bulkhead flanges is a great idea. To help with positioning the longerons, I backdrilled into the table through the bulkheads and (L) angle to allow the bottom skin to lay flat to the table while clecoed together. This technique also help keep the longerons in place while drilling and the skin from creeping into the radius of the longerons.
